In this module, Emma Sargeant will be your guide to thinking theologically about your children's or youth work. Emma will share some reflections on her own experiences and give you space to reflect on yours. For example, 'Where is God at work here?' and 'What's next for me and my ministry?'
Desired Learning Outcomes:
- To recognise the importance of theology for children's and youth work
- To be able to apply theological thinking to your own context
First of all, consider whether you’d like to gather a small group of like-minded youth and children’s workers, to approach the materials together – perhaps those who you already run activities with at your church? Alternatively, you can go through the resources individually.
You will watch a series of short films created by Emma Sargeant and use them to reflect theologically about your youth and children's ministry together. Then go to your Reflective Journal and use the space to process your thinking. There is also a Resources section with activity ideas and sheets for you to use with your group.
We would also appreciate you completing a survey before and after this process, to gain valuable feedback.
