Eating disorders are misunderstood and still seen as a taboo subject. This module lifts the lid on the topic, dispels the myths, reveals the truths about why eating disorders happen, and provides you with the confidence and tools to engage with the subject in a sensitive and caring way.
In this module, we explore loss in its widest sense, attempting to help you understand how loss affects family systems. We explore a theory of loss, introduce practical tools and approaches that may be used, and also pay attention to how we look after ourselves.
It’s increasingly clear that the past few years have had a massive impact on many people's emotional and mental health, especially children and families who have been struggling with isolation, anxiety, food insecurity and poverty as well as the rising cost of living and other pressures. As we strive towards a future where no child is without hope, we want to equip churches up and down the country to know how to spot the signs of emotional distress and respond to them effectively.
