This module guides your thinking and planning as you look to create a piece of youth work in your context. Starting with your motivation and objectives, we then explore some common forms of youth group, before considering various factors such as the time, funds, space and people you will need to make your project a success.
Desired Learning Outcomes:
- To gain an understanding of the purpose and possibility of local youth ministry
- To develop a tool kit of ideas and resources
- To have created an action plan for own particular context
The module is delivered through a series of slides, including video and points along the way to pause, reflect and consider the planning of your programme. We advise you downloading and opening the Planning Template when you start, to help you plan as you work through it.
You can do this module on your own or with a group of people who also have a vision to engage with young people. You may even want to encourage the young people themselves to work through it with you, empowering them to set up a space for themselves and others like them. We also provide links to Resources that will be useful in the process.
