In this module you will hear from specialists in the field of youth and children's ministry who have a real passion for their work, drawing the best out of children and young people, and introducing them to Jesus. There are six short films to watch, whereby the specialists discuss things such as: 'What is the best advice you have ever been given?'; 'What is the toughest lesson you've learnt?' and 'Is there a resource that has been really useful?’. Come in, bring your cuppa, sit down, and be inspired by youth and children's work chat from people who love their jobs!
Desired Learning Outcomes:
- To raise confidence and understanding of the purpose and possibility of cell-based youth ministry
- To develop a toolkit of ideas and resources
- To inspire you to create projects or youth and children’s groups in your context
This module consists of a series of short videos recorded in an informal setting, where youth and children’s workers share their experiences of running projects and groups. The discussion is led by Emma Sargeant, Church of England Birmingham’s Growing Younger Adviser, and interspersed with points for the learner to reflect on what they have learned and how it might inspire them in their own work.
