The Bridge is designed to prepare those about to train as Readers to grow in confidence in handling the Bible. As a group of tutors and tutees, we explore the Hebrew scriptures (Old Testament) and the New Testament writings with themes which arc through the whole of the Bible. It is our hope that this course fans into flame a love for the study of the Bible and introduces resources to aid that study. We choose from six overarching themes: The Names of God; Creation and New Creation; Covenant and New Covenant; Exile and Return; Care of Orphan, Widow and Alien; Temple and Christ.
